Just in case there are people who are still reading:
I just got back from a short getaway (K to the L) last Tuesday with my best girl friends. It was crazy stressful but we managed to fit in lots of laughter in between walking and arguing with cab drivers. Anyway, I brought my Nikon FE and it died on me on the third day. So not enough KL pictures but I will get the battery replace soon for new adventures next year.

Just in case I forget this, note to self for 2012:
Small baby steps.

I wore this to work a few days ago and then a colleague of mine said, "Hey Lenny, today you look like a grandmother.. I think it's the pattern of your blouse." I, unfortunately, do not like flowers (but I love sunflowers!) so can I have them on my blouses instead?

I need to go to a rehab. I am a bubble tea addict. Everybody knows it and people keep telling me I'll become fat if I drink it regularly. I really like milk tea and there are four bubble tea stores near me every single day so tell me, how do I resist?

This is a story that is not related to the three pictures above. Exactly two weeks ago, I wanted to photograph this stranger really badly and perhaps run a finger or two over the smooth surface of his really cool haircut (not really). I resisted because my camera is never with me when I saw him and I didn't know how to ask. Like "Hey, I like taking pictures of people's hair ..." and then what? Today, I saw him again and now he has an undercut. I was so disappointed because if only I was brave enough to ask him for a picture of his cool hair but people will think I'm really nuts! Mehh, I guess I'm only halfway there. Have you ever wanted to talk to someone in real life but you don't want to come across as someone weird? I hope I'm not the only one..

Been out of the house before the sun faded from bright yellow to lightness and back home when the sun is ready to say goodbye. Vintage Delicafe at Bussorah Street. I asked for permission to take some pictures around the cafe but I got shy halfway.

I had a sandwich craving for the past month. It coincides with the meeting up of my favourite senior from my secondary school.

I had yoghurt at frolick. I do not like toppings on my yoghurt unless it's mango or peach slices.

March was nice. It's April now and I'll be pulling the missing act all over again. But hey, no more food pictures! Besides that, I grew 3cm taller. I've been telling everyone this and I can hear some of them rolling their eyes right now. I just find it .. exciting but dear me, can you please stop growing?

My friend brought me to Heaven Scene at Bali Lane because she insisted that I have to try their chocolate pudding. She was crazy about it because it had molten chocolate in the centre. Unfortunately, their chocolate pudding was not available yesterday.

The owner recommended their caramel pudding and their chocolate brownie with ice cream and described it as "very beautiful".

I really love it. I'm very incoherent when it comes to describing my desserts so how about this: it's perfect and I'm returning back for more. I can't get enough of it!

The world's biggest flyer for now.. Believe it or not, as a Singaporean, I've never taken a ride on it before (and I don't plan to in the near future).

There's a ship up there. I saw pictures of the place before and I am quite jealous. I want to be there too!

Central Business District area. Skyscrapers. Tourists attraction. Though I honestly think tourists should come to the heartlands more to see what we are really like.

Night view #2 at a different area of our city. We have bright lights everywhere, you can't see the stars anymore at night.

All this being said, I need to go for a getaway where things are different and slower. I promise I won't try to overtake the person in front of me who is strolling casually when I'm on a busy street. I shall try not to look at my watch every 10 minutes or so. I will be less impatient and I don't think there's a need for me to walk in hurried steps anymore. Eeeps, I sound like I'm tired of home.

These came in a pair. You buy two, you get it for $6. There's not much difference from the normal price - a mere 0.60 cents but well.

Honestly, I was very attracted to the packaging. The typography is so simple and the colours are my favourite. It's too sexy. I just cannot let it sit there without me buying it.

But then when I finally peel the packaging carefully and set this on my plate, I am reminded of the real reason why I was very excited about this purchase.

It's true. Everything's better with chocolate. Now if only I bought a few more boxes yum yum.

I brought this everywhere - ignoring the television set when I'm in the living room with my family, in between my bed sheet as I stay awake until 3 in the morning. I had a long rest these past few days since it was the Chinese New Year break. I also had a lot of fun bumming around and having too much time on my hands. But all good things have to come to an end. It's back to school again this Tuesday but it's going to last for two more weeks before the final examinations. Ah, I am having mixed feelings about saying hello to the end. Solaris is my favourite. It produces such lovely colours so it's kinda heartbreaking that I've not gotten used to my new camera yet. But I learn from my mistakes and there's still a lot of time.

Anyway, this week is my last week of lecture for my final year in poly. I have three more presentations and my final exams is at the end of next month. I can't believe I managed to endure so long. I'm a science student but I think I had enough. I'm so tired. I just want to stop. But I don't know what should I do if I don't continue on with science. I'm still lost about what I want to do in the future. I'm scared.

Beside that, I'm sick. My first cold for the year. Huzzah!

It took me three weeks and I'm still at page 173. My mind floated to and fro thinking about things that will be due soon. I have to read this on and off but it's okay since my mind is able to pick things up immediately where I let it off. I can't wait to finish this book though. It's slowly turning into a burden because I really want to get to the end but I can't. Also, to the 'stranger' who recommended me this book on my formspring, I have to agree with you that this is good. How do you know I like reading stories of alternate universes?

This is a picture of me when I was three, trying to imitate my dad who took this picture. Look at how my fingers were located. I imagined the little red box as my own camera. I used to play with his SLR and he allowed me hold it in my pudgy fingers.

Today, I turn 19. I have cameras of my own and I wish for more. I wish I have the guts to run after bigger dreams. I wish better things will come to me first hah. I wish my dad is still here. But none of these wishes matter that much because what I want the most is happiness - for my mum, my sister and myself.

I took part in a film swap organised by Faiz from fuzzygreenlights. So here are some of the pictures I personally like from the roll of Solaris Ferrania 100 that my swap partner, Izad, developed for me!

I received his roll of film yesterday and sent it for developing today so that means I will only get the pictures by next Tuesday. I really hate waiting for my film. Be right back while I try not to remember that Tuesday is another four more days

Izad captioned this picture as The Concrete Jungle and I couldn't agree more. You won't believe me anyway but it's so peaceful here. I like taking slow walks around the neighbourhood with my family once in a while. But I think we should stop doing that for a while now due to this slashing incident. I don't know what to say anymore but to remind my friends near my neighbourhood to be really careful. Bring a frying pan with you when you go out people, just in case.

Met ovenhaven with Fiza last week and she gave each of us her Oreo brownie. I know many like their brownie with ice cream but I like mine with a cup of cold milk. I want one now D;

My NYX lipstick in Paris. I have a very hard time trying to pull off this colour because it will turn purple after application. I like my lips to be nude or light pink and ... let's just say on days when I do remember, I will apply my lipgloss and pretend my lips are pretty enough (read: I like this delusional thought of mine)

Just wanted to post something because ... I like 20102010 but I've no good luck today. The only thing that made me smile was the morning sun shrouded by the haze (what a beautiful sight, really) and when I spotted a balding bird hopping around a patch of grass. I'm sorry, I don't know why balding birds managed to amuse me to no end. Why are you guys even friends with me? Have I gone mad? Also, I had so many brain fart moments this morning and I was in a really bitchy mode. I just want to run myself into a wall and stab someone with a pencil. Just one of those days I guess...

Besides, an aunt passed away yesterday afternoon and our family rushed to her funeral this morning. I wanted to reach out and hug my cousin even though I'm never close to her and her mum. But I didn't. I wanted to tell her I understand what she's going through. But I didn't. I'm such a coward in so many ways..

Warning: This post is a post dedicated to all of the delicious little things I consumed during the weekends and they might clog my arteries in one way or another or make your stomach rumble all of a sudden but all is well because in the end I am happy (but my bank account balance is not)

I had Arab food over at Nabin's with the poly mates on Saturday. I wish I could upload more pictures but the lighting in the pictures made editing almost impossible so I gave up. But say hello to the feta cheese platter and to the grilled meat platter.

I met up with my childhood best friends today and had a really lovely time. I met one of them, Belle, when we were three. We're nineteen now and holey cheesy macaroni that's 16 years of friendship. If you girls are reading this, Safarina and Belle, let's head out to the next eating date very soon okay! :D

We hopped over to Children's Little Museum after that and it's a shop plus a museum displaying old, vintage, retro stuff. I was very interested in the toys being displayed like the card games and pick up sticks. Also those rattan balls hanging are used in Takraw - a sport that is really popular among Malay boys in Singapore. I didn't buy a tikam pack though, was really running low on cash. So, maybe next time ;)

Also, would like to say I bought two new rings and this medieval key is my favourite hehe. Movie made me wibble like an emotional teenager because I could see myself in Charlie. The girl behind me couldn't stop kicking my chair throughout the movie though. It seems like I've dropped off from the surface of this planet but I'm still here. It's just that sometimes I need to remind myself to breathe because the last few weeks of school were a torture. I've turned into someone really rebellious in school and I'm not proud of it. Sometimes I want to slap some sense into my head and sometimes I want to ask myself is this really what I want to do. I had a cupcake for breakfast. I don't usually like cupcakes or muffins or sweet things in solid form (I don't mind drinking sweet things though) and I really should just stick to my Milo cause this is giving me a heartburn right now D: But still, it's pretty right? Heh heh

On Tuesday, we went to Lorong Buangkok. It's the last standing village in Singapore and it's sad to see this place go.

Anyway, we almost got chased by a dog, the other girls were screaming their heads off because there were so many cute cats and we all danced like no tomorrow so the mozzies won't bite us (it didn't work). We headed to Punggol End afterwards and we all had sand in our shoes. It was a long but fun day with my favourite bunch of people (I like the last picture a lot but if I'm in, I will be stuck at the very left ooh)

I purchased a really adorable ring yesterday after my last paper of the term. Today I rearranged my notice board - it's kinda therapeutic. Also, I realize I really like postcards.

I shared this link over at my twitter and I think it's a brilliant idea. There's still time if you would like to join cause it's closing this Friday, tomorrow. Imagine developing pictures of someone else's roll of film from across the globe. I would love to join but school is really, really depressing these days and I have not been out and about enough :(

This is a story of a dress that disappears and reappears again..

I saw this dress at tsilli.net at first but I could not decide if I wanted it or really wanted it. So someone else bought it before I could. I saw this dress again and it was being put up for sale a few weeks ago and now it's in my hands :> This is what I call fate ohoho!

My granny crochet flats came in last Monday and I love love love it! I'm not wearing it out yet since it's been raining every single day. Plus school requires me to be in formal wear now mehh :(

An idea I have been toying around with for quite sometime.. But is anyone interested to be my pen-pal? I have a number of pretty little things lying around in my room and it's a shame I don't use it as much so I feel that it's better if I can exchange them for something from you. I have postcards, envelops, origamis I folded and some fabric badges I can sew. So, if you are interested, just leave a comment with your e-mail address and I'll get back to you :>

I tasted the most awesome iced tea ever, I wish I knew what kind of tea they used. I also realise besides bookstores, my next favourite place will be supermarkets. It's like a whole new world out there of rows and rows of mini milk bottles and packet drinks and junk food. One of my dreams is to actually travel all over the world and to visit local supermarkets just to get dirt cheap groceries. See that Ovaltine packet drink? It's my favourite - delicious malt drink that cannot be found in Singapore :(

First four pictures were taken with Tokyo Gratzy Vegas 35mm IS0 400 while the remaining pictures were taken with an expired roll of the same film.

Been meaning to post these pictures since forever. My skill with the scanner is really awesome, no? I have no idea how to align the pictures properly. Ok, actually, I'm just lazy at trying to align the pictures properly.

I think it's really amazing how fast time flies. Today we saw a fellow junior from our secondary school. The last time we saw her was when we were seniors and she was still a junior. That was three years ago. Now she's already a senior. Time flies, huh?

Doesn't it hurt you to know that the people closest to you won't listen to your pleas? I think that it's really sad that nobody really care about what I say anymore. Don't be surprise to know that selfishness can take away the relationship you have with someone..
